To get set up with AI, you need to train the AI model by syncing your store. You also need to add it to your theme and customize the way that the chat overlay appears on your store.
You can create product rules, adjust chat tone, and language to further customize the AI Agent.
You need to let AI Agent sync your store to learn about your products and pages so that it can make intelligent product recommendations to your customers.
Steps:
From the AI Agent dashboard, under Train AI, click Sync store.
Tip
Syncing might take a minute. You can continue seting up while syncing runs in the background.
Syncs happen automatically every 3 days.
You can resync your store any time later by clicking Sync store under Train AI. This updates the AI Agent with any new changes in your store and ensures customers get the most accurate information.
AI Agent functions as an app in your theme, so you need to choose a theme to add it to before you can start customizing and styling its appearance.
Steps:
From the AI Agent dashboard, under Style customization,
In the Select Theme step, from the drop-down menu, choose one of your existing store themes to apply AI Agent to.
Next, you can customize the appearance of the floating chat button, the button that customers click to open the AI Agent chat window.
Steps:
From the AI Agent dashboard under Floating Chat Button, click Open in theme editor. Your theme editor is launched.
From your theme editor, under Floating button, you can do the following:
Toggle the AI Agent or the floating button on or off while you edit.
Change the position of the floating chat button on your page.
Set hover text for the text that displays when the floating button is clicked.
Change the icon color.
Click Save.
You can add the AI Agent chat as an embedded section on a product page so it's easier for your customers to ask product questions as they shop.
Steps:
From the AI Agent dashboard under Page Chat Section, click Add in theme editor. Your theme editor is launched and the Page chat section is added.
Optional: Drag the section block up or down to move it to the position you want.
Click Save.
You can add the question marquee banner to your product pages. This banner scrolls on the product page and acts as suggested questions customers might ask.
Steps:
From the AI Agent dashboard under Product Page Block, click Add in theme editor. Your theme editor is launched and the Page chat section is added.
Optional: Drag the section block up or down to move it to the position you want.
Click Save.
You can further customize the appearance of the chat drawer that slides out on your storefront.
Under Style customization, click Style to launch your theme editor.
In the Chatbot styles section, you can:
Adjust chat text color and background color
Choose between rounded, square, or pill-style chat
In the Chatbot header section, you can:
Upload a header logo
Change the header color
In the Welcome message section, you can:
Update the heading and text that the AI Agent sends when opened.
In the AI Agent styles section, you can:
Change the AI Agent's chat avatar
Change the background color
In the Questions section, you can:
Toggle the product page marquee on and off
Show or hide the questions icon
Change the text, background, and icon color.
Enter custom CSS
When you're done making changes, click Save.
Under the Product rules section of the AI Agent dashboard, you can control which products AI Agent can recommend. In the Product rules section, click the drop-down arrow to expand the options in this section.
Maximum products
In the Maximum products section, you can set the maximum number of products that AI Agent can suggest in a single response.
Click and drag the slider to increase or decrease the maximum number of products.
Excluded products
In the Excluded Products section, you can select any products you don’t want included in recommendations.
Click in the Search products text box to search for and select which products you want to exclude.
You can also check Exclude out of stock products if you don't want AI Agent to recommend anything out of stock.
You can set the communication style of your AI Agent. In the Chat tone section, click the drop-down arrow to expand the options in this section.
For chat tone, you can select one of the following:
Friendly – Warm and approachable
Casual – Relaxed and conversational
Enthusiastic – Energetic and upbeat
Professional – Formal and businesslike
You can change the language that the AI Agent communicates in.
Steps:
From the AI Agent dashboard, in the Language settings section, click the drop-down arrow to expand the options in this section.
From the drop-down menu, choose the language that you want to apply to the AI Agent.
Click Save.
