# Pricing and plans

New Quiz Kit users start on the Scale plan after their free trial. The Scale plan offers all of the Quiz Kit features, with tiered pricing that's based on the number of engagements customers have with your quizzes, and with the [AI Shopping Assistant](https://support.quizkitapp.com/ai-shopping-assistant).

Your store is automatically bumped up to the next tier when you hit the upper threshold of engagements for the tier that you're on.

## Free trial <a href="#the-scale-plan" id="the-scale-plan"></a>

Quiz Kit includes a 10-day free trial so you can explore the app and make sure it fits your business needs. During this period:

* Engagements with your quizzes and the AI Shopping Assistant are tracked.
* Your usage helps determine the [plan tier](#the-scale-plan-1) that offers you the best value (higher tiers = lower cost per engagement).
* When the trial ends, your engagement count resets to zero.
* Your first bill reflects the tier that matches your trial activity so you start on the right-sized plan.

**Note**&#x20;

After your first bill, your tier only increases automatically if engagement exceeds the current tier. It doesn't automatically decrease if engagement drops in a lower-traffic month.&#x20;

## The Scale plan <a href="#the-scale-plan" id="the-scale-plan"></a>

After your trial ends, you're placed into the Scale plan tier that best fits your trial usage, and your engagement count resets to zero.

From there:

* Your tier only increases automatically when you hit the next engagement threshold. If your monthly engagements fall below your current tier, then your plan doesn't automatically downgrade. You can [contact support](https://support.quizkitapp.com/faqs-and-support/contact-us) to adjust it.
* Example tiers:
  * $59/month for 0–500 engagements
  * $99/month for 501–750 engagements
* Higher tiers give you a lower cost per engagement, so you get better value as engagement increases as long as your engagements land in that bracket.

This ensures you start on the right plan and only upgrade based on your ongoing activity, not your trial count.

An engagement counts as any time a new or returning customer initiates interaction (ie the first click) within your quiz or AI Shopping Assistant.

### Adjusting your plan tier

Your tier automatically increases if your monthly engagements exceed your current tier threshold. If your store’s engagement drops, your tier doesn't automatically decrease. You can contact support if you want to discuss moving to a lower tier: [`quizkit@presidiocreative.com`](mailto:quizkit@presidiocreative.com).

## How you’re billed

Quiz Kit app fees are added to your regular Shopify invoice. Charges follow Shopify’s standard app-billing cycle. You can review your billing information in your Shopify admin under **Settings** > **Billing.**

## Cancel your Quiz Kit plan

You can cancel your Quiz Kit billing at any time.

**Steps**:

1. **Uninstall** the Quiz Kit app from the Shopify **Apps** section.
2. Remove leftover snippets if you embedded code manually (Use our [removal guide](https://support.quizkitapp.com/faqs/frequently-asked-questions/how-do-i-delete-the-quiz-kit-app)).
