Zapier

Learn how to integrate Zapier with the Quiz Kit app.

You can use many apps with Zapier through Quiz Kit integration.

Note:

If you’re on a legacy Quiz Kit plan, then this feature is available for the Middle plan or higher.


Connecting to Zapier to Quiz Kit

Before you start, ensure that you have a Zapier account, and that you are logged into it.

Steps:

  1. From the Quiz Kit dashboard, click Integrations.

  2. On the Analytics & Tracking tab, go to Zapier.

  3. Click Settings.

  4. In the Zapier settings pop-up, you can find the setup instructions. Follow the link and click Accept Invite & Build a Zap.

  5. Copy the store name & API key and finish the integration here.

  6. When prompted to allow Zapier access to Quiz Kit, click Yes, continue.


Configuring Zapier

Before you start, log in and go to the Zapier dashboard.

Click Create zap to begin.

Configure a trigger

Steps:

  1. Search for and select Quiz Kit as the trigger app:

  2. Select from two available trigger events:

  • Quiz abandonment

  • Quiz completed

  1. Click Continue and follow the instructions to authenticate your Quiz Kit account and set up any necessary permissions:

  2. Under Choose an Account, select Quiz Kit from the dropdown.

  3. Click Continue and enter the Quiz key. To find your quiz key, from the quiz builder, click Settings > Quiz, then click Copy beside the key in the Quiz key section.

  4. Paste the quiz key into the zap trigger tab under Quiz key, then click Continue.


Test your zap

After completing the trigger setup, test your zap to ensure the trigger event works correctly.

Steps:

  1. From your storefront, open the quiz connected to the zap you created, and complete it with a valid email address.

  2. Return to the zap creation and under the Test tab, click Test trigger.

  3. If the trigger was set up correctly, then test data is displayed here:

4. Click on Continue with selected record and proceed to the action step.

Configure an action

Once you've completed the trigger setup, you can move on to configuring the action step of your zap.

Steps:

  1. Click Action in the zap editor and search for the app that you want to connect with Quiz Kit.

  2. Select the app and the specific action you want to perform when the trigger event occurs.

  3. Follow the instructions to authenticate your chosen app and set up the required parameters for the action step. This varies depending on the app you selected.

Custom properties

You can connect Quiz Kit custom properties to work with Google Sheets.

Custom properties act as variables that help you capture and describe key details based on customer responses.

  1. Under App & event, select Google Sheets.

  2. Under Event, choose the action. For example, Create Spreadsheet Row:

  1. Click Continue.

  2. Connect your Google account. Zapier might automatically connect accounts, or access permissions to create and edit documents, etc.

  3. Set up the action.

  4. Create a spreadsheet that you want to use for collecting customers' data and add columns to the sheet. If you already have spreadsheet, then select it.

  5. Once you select a spreadsheet and worksheet, Zapier pulls available column headers:

  1. Select the correct Quiz Kit custom properties for each columns:

  1. Proceed to the next step and click Test action:

When you're satisfied with the setup, give your zap a name and turn it on.

Your zap can now automate actions based on the trigger events from Quiz Kit.
