Changing the results logic type

You can adjust the results logic on any quiz that has been created with a blank template.

Steps:

  1. From the quiz builder, click Settings.

  2. Click Recommendations.

  3. Under Results Logic, click the drop-down menu for logic options, and click Combination.

  4. Optional: In the text box under Recommended products limit, enter the maximum number of products that you want to show on the quiz results page. Leave the field blank if you want to remove the limit.

  5. Click Save.

Setting up Single logic results

To have product recommendations associated with certain quiz answers, you need to connect products to the answers in your quiz at the answer level.

Steps:

  1. From the quiz builder menu, click the Quiz tab.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click the question, then the answer that you want to set up product recommendations for.

  3. Under Selected products, click Select products.

  4. Check all of the products that you want to be recommended for this quiz answer.

  5. Click Save and close, then click Save.

Repeat this process to define product recommendations for all of the answers in your quiz that you want to recommend products for.

Setting up Basic logic results

To set up Basic logic results, you need to set up an answer path for each result that you want to create. In other words, the customer needs to select certain answers to each question to get a specific result.

Step 1: Setting up a result outcome

  1. From the quiz builder menu, click the Results tab.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click Add result, and give the result a name under Result name on the right-hand menu.

  3. Select the results that you want displayed for this path.

  4. Click Save.

Step 2: Setting up a result path

  1. From the left-hand menu, click Path.

  2. From the right-hand menu, under each of your quiz questions, click Choose an option, and select the answers to that question that you want to lead to this outcome. You can add more than one.

  3. Click Save.

You can repeat this process to create as many result outcomes as you want.

If you have different results that have similar outcomes or paths, then you can save time by clicking the Duplicate button beside a result to duplicate it.

AND/OR logic

If you have your quiz set up so that customers can select more than one answer to a given question, then you might encounter AND/OR logic in the result path setup.

The AND/OR logic field populates when your quiz is set up for multiple answers, and you chose multiple answers for the path.

  • OR logic means a customer can select any one of the answers to reach that result.

  • AND logic means the customer has to select all of the answers to reach that result.

For a Combination logic result, you can choose from several different outcome types. When you set up a new path, you need to set up the outcome type under the Outcome section.
